Route 24 Limited Stop Service

For the limited stop service there are central pick up locations along Route 24, between Piper City and Chenoa. From Chenoa, where the bus connects with the Livingston-McLean Intercity Service (service from Pontiac to Bloomington/Normal), the route travels north to Pontiac. In Pontiac, the bus connects with the Pontiac Local Route (hourly service throughout Pontiac). Individual pick ups can be arranged by contacting the SHOW BUS office.

On its return trip, the route travels from Pontiac, where it connects with the Pontiac Local Route, to Chenoa, where it connects with the Livingston/McLean Intercity Service. From there, the route travels to Piper City, stopping in Fairbury, Forrest and Chatsworth along the way.

Due to a federal grant, the above fares are not required for persons 60 years of age or older.

The following times are approximate to allow for individual pick ups as required. During heavy demand, more than one bus is used to help keep the route on schedule.

The return route leaves Pontiac in the afternoon, reversing the route.

Stops marked "(call-in)" are stops where a rider must contact the SHOW BUS office to let us know that they will be at the stop.

Who can ride?

Everyone can ride. We are Public Transportation and all of our vehicles are fully accessible.

Can there be more than one stop?

Persons riding on the limited stop service can stop multiple times along the route. There is no additional charge for this service.

How can rides be arranged?

Riders may catch the service at any of the stops without prior reservations unless the stop is marked "(call-in)." Requests for individual off-route pick ups must be made by 9:00 a.m. on the weekday before the day of service. To make a reservation for the individual service, contact the SHOW BUS office.
